The point of this video is to tell the story of a guy who is a member of a local basketball club and was asked by his coach to come up with a creative rap video for an upcoming competition. His idea for a clip was to combine a basketball game with a rap battle and create a unique video that would be representative of his team. Well I just got back from my first ever local tournament. The first tournament I had ever played in was the North Carolina rap battle. I was so excited and nervous at the same time. I can’t even remember the last time I was excited or nervous about anything. I didn’t even play my best game, although I did see some people get the best scores. My dad played his best game, but I thought he had really sucked.
I had one of the best tournaments I had ever seen in my life. The first rap battle of my life. It was a tournament where I was actually allowed to play.
I dont think we’re done talking about rap battles. The first one I went to was an AAU tournament, which is something you dont see too often. When I was in middle school, they had a similar tournament. In this tournament, I was going to play against a guy who was a regional champion in a sport I didnt even know about. In this tournament, I was going to play against a guy who was going to win the title of the National Championship.
