I have to admit, I don’t often get excited about my workplace. I’m not sure if this post is a little on the nose, but I’ve noticed that many people don’t feel that they actively contribute to the workplace. They’re not involved in decisions or in day to day activities. This sometimes happens because they’re too busy taking care of other people or tasks. For example, if I’m managing a team of people and a lot of the work is going to be in my area, I may not get involved in the day to day operations.
This is what I mean by active participation. We should all actively and actively participate in the work of our communities, as well as the work of our organizations. We should be actively engaged in the things that matter most to us, which are our work and our family.
A lot of football stadiums have these types of stadiums where we play in the middle of a field. This happens because if the goal is to score a goal, we should have a lot of people hanging around at the end of a game watching. We should be keeping a lot of our fans and spectators happy.
Unfortunately, the reality is that the actual work that is done is not always visible to an outside observer. Many people have the misconception that the real work of our organizations is done when they are the ones actually running the clubs or programs. I think the truth is that most of the work that is done is actually done by the people who are hired to do the actual work. That’s the point of an organization.
